    We have our own version of traditional thatched roofs and I still see them in some towns in the Philippines, but they’re gone from Metro Manila.

  3. Thank you. Yes, it is quite sweet isn’t it. there are loads of them around here (hehe). This particular cottage had it’s thatched roof replaced about 4 months ago. I should have taken the photo whilst the old roof was still on – back when it really looked old.
